Ep 4. Jeremy's Mummy

He's stopped paying the rent, he's not eating, and he's ignoring phone calls from his friends. Mark becomes increasingly worried about him and tries to intervene, but Jez just tells him to mind his own business.

Eventually, Jez finishes the book and gives Mark a copy to read. Mark is initially impressed, but as he reads on, he realizes that the book is actually a thinly veiled attack on him, and that Jez has used his mother's life story as a way to settle old scores and get revenge.

The episode ends on a somber note, with Jez having a breakdown as he realizes that he's wasted months of his life on a project that has ultimately left him feeling empty and alone. Mark, feeling guilty for not doing more to help, tries to comfort him, but it's clear that things between them will never be the same again.
