Penn & Teller: Fool Us is a television series that premiered in 2011, where famous magicians Penn & Teller invite aspiring magicians to perform their best tricks in front of a live audience and try to fool them. The performers are judged based on how well they can fool Penn & Teller, and if they manage to do so, they get a chance to be one of their opening acts in Las Vegas.

Season 5 Episode 7 of this show is titled "Penn & Teller Against The World" and features a variety of talented performers trying to trick the famous duo. The episode starts off with Penn & Teller introducing themselves and their challenge to the audience. They explain that they are going to be performing one of their most famous tricks, "Shadows," and that they are going to try to fool the entire world with it.

The first act to come on stage is Dev Sherman, an illusionist from India, who claims that he can make a car disappear in just a few seconds. Dev sets up his stage and conjures up a car, and after a few moves, the car indeed disappears. Penn & Teller are left puzzled, with Teller admitting that he doesn't know how it was done.

Next up is Patrik Kuffs, a mentalist from Canada, who claims that he can read the minds of people in the audience. Patrik begins his act by handing out cards to people at random, and then proceeds to guess the number and the suit of the card they are holding. The audience is impressed, but Penn & Teller are not easily fooled. They watch intently, trying to figure out Patrik's tricks.

The third act to come on stage is Spencer Horsman, an escape artist from the United States. Spencer claims that he can escape from any trap or constraint that is put on him. Spencer asks Penn to put him in handcuffs, and then proceeds to escape from them in record time. Penn & Teller are impressed but are already starting to get an idea of how it was done.

The last act of the night is from a team of magicians, who call themselves The Sentimentalists. The team comprises of Steffi Kay and Mysterion, who are both mentalists from Canada. They claim that they can read each other's minds, and that Steffi can even read the minds of people in the audience. They ask Penn & Teller to come up on stage and perform a mentalist trick with them. Penn & Teller play along, but they are already suspicious of The Sentimentalists.

After all the acts are done, Penn & Teller take the stage and reveal how each of the tricks was done. They explain their thought process and what gave away the trick. Dev Sherman's car trick was exposed as a result of Penn noticing a small detail that was overlooked. Patrik Kuffs's mentalist trick was exposed as a result of Teller's careful observation. Spencer Horsman's escape trick was exposed as a result of Penn & Teller's knowledge of how escape artists operate. The Sentimentalists' mentalist trick was exposed as a result of Teller's clever questioning.

Although Penn & Teller managed to debunk each of the tricks, they commend the performers for their creativity and skill. The show ends with Penn & Teller inviting the audience for a meet and greet and telling them that they will be back next week with more surprises.

In conclusion, Penn & Teller: Fool Us Season 5 Episode 7, "Penn & Teller Against The World" is an exciting and thrilling episode that showcases the best of modern-day magic and illusion. The performers are talented, and Penn & Teller are as sharp as ever. The audience is left guessing until the end, and even then, they are not disappointed. It is a must-watch for anyone who loves magic and wants to be entertained.
