In episode two of Platinum End's first season, titled "Hero of Justice," the story continues from where we left off in the first episode. Mirai and Saki have decided to work together to uncover the identity of other god candidates, and they begin their investigation with a mutual friend, Nanato Mukaido.
Nanato is the chief editor of a popular magazine, and he agrees to help the duo gather information on the other god candidates. However, their first lead hits a dead end when they discover that the candidate they were investigating had died in a car accident.
Meanwhile, we are introduced to two new god candidates, Mato Katori and Hajime Sokotani. Mato is a high school student who is cold and calculating, while Hajime is bubbly and outgoing. Both of them are activated by their angels and are given wings and new abilities.
As the episode progresses, we learn more about the rules of the competition. Each god candidate is given a special power and a pair of wings, which help them in their quest to become the next god. The first candidate to gather all thirteen wings becomes the new god, and the rest are eliminated.
Mirai and Saki's investigation leads them to a young girl named Sora, who is also a god candidate. Sora is a kind-hearted girl who is shy and scared of her powers. She is being controlled by her uncle, who wants to use her powers for his own gain. Mirai and Saki convince Sora to come with them, and they begin to teach her how to use her wings and powers.
At the same time, Hajime starts to become desperate to win the competition and is willing to do whatever it takes to gather all thirteen wings. Mato tries to calm him down, but it becomes clear that Hajime's actions could put both of their lives in danger.
The episode ends with Mirai, Saki, and Sora receiving a message from the god candidate who they thought was dead. They learn that he faked his death to protect himself from the other candidates and that he wants to meet with them to share information.
Overall, "Hero of Justice" is a compelling episode that continues to build the world of Platinum End. We learn more about the rules of the competition, meet new god candidates, and see Mirai and Saki's investigation begin to take shape. The episode also sets up a number of interesting storylines that should be explored in the coming episodes.
