In season 2 episode 11 of Portals to Hell, Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman head to the historic Hotel Monte Vista located in Flagstaff, Arizona. Built-in 1926, the hotel has been a popular destination for celebrities and tourists alike, but it is also known for being haunted.
The episode begins with Jack and Katrina meeting up with two local investigators, Cindy and Corey. They start their investigation in Room 305, where it is rumored that a woman was pushed out of the window to her death. The team sets up their equipment and starts to try to communicate with any spirits that might be present. As they investigate, they start to pick up on some strange activity, including EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and sudden temperature changes.
The team also explores the basement of the hotel, which was once used as a speakeasy during Prohibition. It is rumored that a young girl died in the basement, and her spirit is said to roam the area to this day. While investigating the basement, the team experiences some unexplained activity, including a door that seemingly opens on its own.
Throughout the episode, Jack and Katrina try to piece together the history of the hotel and the paranormal activity that has been reported over the years. They talk with hotel staff, guests, and locals to try to get a better understanding of what might be causing the hauntings.
One of the most intriguing parts of the episode is when the team investigates the Zane Grey Ballroom, named after the famous Western author who was a regular guest at the hotel. It is rumored that the ghost of Zane Grey himself haunts the ballroom, and the team sets up equipment to try to communicate with him. They pick up on some strange EVPs and feel an unexplained cold breeze in the room.
As the investigation continues, the team experiences more and more unexplained activity, including a chair that seemingly moves on its own and doors that open and close by themselves. They also hear footsteps and voices when there is no one else around.
Overall, the episode is a fascinating look into the paranormal activity at the Hotel Monte Vista. Jack and Katrina do an excellent job of investigating and trying to get to the bottom of the hauntings. The historic hotel is a beautiful location, but it is clear that there is something paranormal going on here. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, this episode is sure to get your heart racing and leave you wondering what might be lurking in the shadows.
