The episode Captain Grant's Inn is the 14th episode of season two of the paranormal investigation series, Portals to Hell. The show is hosted by paranormal investigator Jack Osbourne and paranormal researcher Katrina Weidman as they delve into some of the most haunted places across America in search of evidence of paranormal activity.

In this episode, Jack and Katrina visit one of the most haunted inns in Connecticut, the Captain Grant's Inn. The inn has a rich history dating back to the 1700s, and it has been a witness to several paranormal occurrences over the years. The current owners of the inn are James and Roberta, who have experienced several instances of ghostly activity in the inn since they bought the property in 2001.

As soon as they arrive, Jack and Katrina sit down with James and Roberta to get a sense of the paranormal activity in the inn. Roberta explains that they have experienced numerous occurrences of doors slamming shut, footsteps in the hallway, and even the apparition of a woman dressed in Victorian clothing. James mentions that there is a specific room in the inn where he feels the most activity, and he believes it's because that room used to be the hospital for the French soldiers during the American Revolution.

Jack and Katrina then split up to investigate the inn. Jack heads to the room where James has experienced the most activity, while Katrina explores the rest of the inn. Jack starts his investigation by setting up a REM-Pod, which is a device that detects changes in the electromagnetic field. As he observes the device, he notices that it starts to go off, indicating that there may be a presence in the room.

Meanwhile, Katrina begins her investigation by exploring the common area of the inn. As she walks around, she hears several noises, including what sounds like someone walking upstairs. She also experiences a strange sensation that she can't explain, but it feels like someone is watching her.

As they continue their investigation, Jack and Katrina gather more evidence of paranormal activity in the inn. They capture EVPs, or electronic voice phenomena, which are recordings of disembodied voices that can't be heard by the human ear. They also use a thermal imaging camera to detect temperature changes in the room, as well as a ghost box, which is a device that allows spirits to communicate through the manipulation of audio frequencies.

One of the most compelling pieces of evidence they capture is a figure on the thermal imaging camera that seems to move toward Jack as he is investigating the room. Jack is unable to see what the camera picked up, but when they play back the recording, they clearly see a human-like figure.

Throughout the investigation, Jack and Katrina try to communicate with the spirits in the inn, and they believe that they may have made contact with a Revolutionary War soldier who may have been injured in battle and died in the inn during the war.

As the investigation comes to a close, Jack and Katrina sit down with James and Roberta to review their findings. They discuss the evidence of paranormal activity they gathered, including the ghostly figure on the thermal imaging camera and the disembodied voices they captured on the EVP recordings.

The episode ends with Jack and Katrina concluding that the Captain Grant's Inn is indeed haunted, and the evidence they gathered supports the claims of James and Roberta. The inn has a long history of paranormal activity, and Jack and Katrina believe that it's a portal to the other side, and that spirits from the past continue to inhabit the inn to this day.
