Ep 6. Heaven Backwards

When they find her, Maddie is disoriented and confused, and Trish tries to approach her gently. However, Maddie is not receptive and tells Trish to back off before passing out again.

The next day, Maddie wakes up in rehab and is informed that she was admitted for her own safety. She's understandably upset but soon realizes that she's not alone and that there are others who have been in her shoes before. Maddie starts to open up and share her story with others, including a girl named Vern who she befriends. Vern has a similar story to Maddie's and the two bond over their shared experiences.

Meanwhile, Trish is struggling with her own guilt over Maddie's situation. She confides in Craig who assures her that she did the right thing by reaching out to Maddie and that she couldn't have known what would happen. Trish eventually finds the courage to visit Maddie in rehab and apologizes for being overbearing. Maddie forgives her and they start to bond once again.

In the end, "Heaven Backwards" explores the themes of addiction and recovery, and how it affects not just the person struggling with it but also their loved ones.
