Mordecai and Rigby are back in action in the latest episode of Regular Show. In The Heart of a Stuntman, the duo is determined to become stuntmen and perform a dangerous stunt that could potentially injure them. Their friend and fellow park worker, Muscle Man, tries to talk them out of it, but Mordecai and Rigby are convinced they can pull it off.

He wants to kiss her at midnight on New Year's Eve, but she has plans to spend the holiday with her boyfriend. Mordecai decides to throw a New Year's Eve party at the park in an attempt to win CJ's affections.
As the party gets underway, Mordecai tries to spend time with CJ, but she's too busy with her boyfriend. He starts to feel discouraged and thinks he has no chance with her. At midnight, he decides to give up on his dream of kissing CJ and goes outside to watch the fireworks alone.
Just when he thinks it's all over, CJ shows up and reveals that she broke up with her boyfriend because she realized she had feelings for Mordecai. They share a romantic New Year's kiss and Mordecai's dream finally comes true.
