Ep 17. Doubt

Emily Thorne, played by Emily VanCamp, has been on a mission to seek revenge against those who wronged her father and took away everything she had. She has been manipulating the wealthy families of the Hamptons and has made herself known as a socialite under the name of Amanda Clarke, working her way into their inner circle and getting close to her targets. In the previous episode, things were starting to unravel as her friend and ally Nolan Ross, played by Gabriel Mann, was arrested and Emily's true identity was exposed to the Grayson family.

In episode 17, Doubt, Emily is facing even more challenges as her plan to take down the Grayson family is put into jeopardy. Her mother, Kara Clarke, played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, returns to the Hamptons after being presumed dead for years. Emily is initially hesitant to involve her mother in her revenge scheme, as she believes her mother could be unpredictable and unstable. However, Kara manages to prove her worth by providing Emily with valuable information about Conrad Grayson's (Henry Czerny) secret bank account.
