Ep 3. Confidence

In "Confidence," the third episode of Revenge season 2, Emily Thorne is continuing her quest to bring down the Grayson family. To do so, she needs to gain the trust of the people close to them, and the latest target is Mason Treadwell.

Emily wants to convince Mason to write a tell-all book about the Graysons, which would expose all of their secrets and ruin their reputation. She knows that Mason is a loose cannon, and manipulating him won't be easy, but she's determined to make him see that helping her is in his best interest.

Meanwhile, Victoria is trying to move on from her relationship with David Clarke. She's decided to focus on her charity work and has organized a fundraiser to benefit a local hospital. Daniel is also planning to attend the event and invites Emily to join him, which she sees as an opportunity to get closer to Mason.

The fundraiser is a lavish affair, and everyone who's anyone in the Hamptons is in attendance. Emily and Daniel make their way to Mason's table, but he's not too keen to talk to them. Emily tries to flatter him, telling him that his writing is the best and that he has the power to take down the Graysons with his words.

Mason seems intrigued but isn't convinced yet. He knows that he has a target on his back and that everyone wants to use him to get to the Graysons. Emily tries to play on his ego, telling him that they need him because he's the only person who can write a book that will be a bestseller.

Mason finally agrees to hear her out, and they make plans to meet the following day. However, Emily's powers of persuasion may not be enough to keep Mason on her side, and she may have to resort to more extreme measures.

Elsewhere, Jack is having problems of his own. He's worried about the bar, which is failing to make a profit, and he's facing mounting debts. Charlotte offers to help him out and convinces her father to give him a loan, but Jack is reluctant to accept charity.

He decides to take matters into his own hands and starts acting as a security consultant for the Graysons. He hopes that by doing so, he'll earn enough money to get the bar back on track. However, he quickly realizes that working for the Graysons may not be as glamorous as he thought, and he's forced to confront the dark side of their business dealings.

As the episode comes to a close, the tension between Emily and Mason continues to simmer, and it's clear that things are about to come to a head. Emily may have bitten off more than she can chew, and the Graysons are not to be underestimated. With everyone out for blood, it's only a matter of time before someone is brought to their knees.
