The Salvage Dawgs are back and this time they are tasked with salvaging a unique Stick Style House located in Roanoke, Virginia. The Stick Style architecture became popular in the late 1800s and is characterized by the use of exposed stickwork on the exterior of the building.
The team is excited to take on this job as they have never worked on a Stick Style House before. When they arrive at the site, they are blown away by the intricate detailing of the exterior. The house had been abandoned for years and was in need of some serious repair work. The Salvage Dawgs are confident they can salvage as many materials as possible, which could be used for future projects.
The team starts by exploring the exterior of the building and quickly realizes how difficult the job is going to be. The stickwork on the house was very delicate and fragile, which made salvaging it a tedious process. The team had to be extremely careful not to damage any of the delicate pieces during the deconstruction process.
The first item the team salvages is an antique front door, which was very ornate and in excellent condition. They also managed to salvage all of the beautiful stained glass windows that adorned the exterior of the house. The windows were all unique and had intricate designs that were a reflection of the time in which they were made.
The team then moves on to salvaging the porch columns and railings. This was a very difficult task as the columns and railings were very fragile and the team had to be extremely careful when removing them. However, their hard work paid off, and they were able to salvage all of the columns and railings without any damage.
The Salvage Dawgs also managed to salvage a large number of decorative brackets that were located on the exterior of the house. These brackets were very intricate and added a lot of character to the house. The team knew that these brackets would be highly sought after, and they were thrilled to have salvaged them.
After salvaging as many materials as possible, the team then moves on to demolishing the remaining parts of the house that were beyond repair. They make sure to carefully remove any salvageable materials before demolishing the rest of the house.
The Stick Style House was a unique salvage job for the Salvage Dawgs, and they were able to salvage a significant amount of materials that could be used for future projects. They also enjoyed the challenge of working on a unique style of architecture that they had never worked on before. The team left feeling satisfied with the work they had done and proud of the materials they were able to salvage.
