Ep 5. Lakeside Marina

In season 2 episode 5 of Salvage Dawgs, titled Lakeside Marina, the team travels to Virginia to salvage items from a marina that is being torn down. The marina has been a fixture in the community for many years and the team is excited to give some of the items a second chance at life.

The team splits up to explore the different areas of the marina. Mike and Grayson tackle the task of removing a large metal dock that has been in the water for decades. It's a difficult job, but the two work together seamlessly to get the job done. Next, they turn their attention to a large wooden barn. Inside, they find an assortment of items including boat motors, vintage bicycles, and antique tools.

Meanwhile, Robert and Tay work on removing an old gasoline pump and a large sign that advertised the marina. The sign is particularly difficult to take down as it's made of heavy metal and is attached to a brick wall. They have to think creatively to get it down without damaging it. Once it's safely removed, they load it onto the truck and are thrilled with the find.

The team also comes across an old sailboat that has been left at the marina for years. It's in rough shape, but they see potential in it. They work to remove it from the water and assess the damage. They decide to take the boat back to their shop and try to restore it.

One of the most interesting finds of the day is a set of vintage diving helmets. They were used by the owner of the marina to recover items from the bottom of the lake. The team can't believe their luck in finding such unique items. They carefully remove them from their display and load them onto the truck.

As always, the team encounters some challenges along the way. Removing the dock is difficult and time-consuming, but they all work together to get the job done. Robert and Tay face challenges with the heavy metal sign, but their determination pays off when they successfully remove it.

Once back at their shop, the team gets to work restoring the items they salvaged. They clean up the diving helmets and the boat motor and bring the sailboat back to life. They even repurpose parts of the dock to use in another project.

Overall, the team is thrilled with the items they salvaged from Lakeside Marina. They were able to save some truly unique pieces from being lost forever and give them a new life. It's another successful salvage mission for the Salvage Dawgs.
