Salvage Dawgs season 3 episode 11, titled "Weatherford Farmhouse," follows Mike and Robert as they head to Hillsville, Virginia to salvage an old farmhouse that dates back to the 1830s. The owner of the farmhouse, Kevin, contacted the Salvage Dawgs team to help him preserve it. Kevin plans to incorporate some of the salvaged materials into a new home he is building on the property.
The Salvage Dawgs team starts by carefully removing a large stone fireplace from the farmhouse. They use a forklift to lift the heavy stones and place them in a truck for transportation to Kevin's property. The team also salvages an antique front door, which they carefully remove and load onto their truck.
Next, the team moves onto the kitchen and salvages a large wood-burning stove, which they remove from the wall and carefully transport to their truck. They also remove an old farm sink and several cabinets from the kitchen.
As they move through the house, the Salvage Dawgs team carefully removes several antique light fixtures and a pair of unique wooden doors. They also take apart an old wooden staircase, which they plan to use in a future project.
In addition to salvaging materials from the house, the Salvage Dawgs team also explores the property to see if there are any other interesting items they can salvage. They find an old barn that is in disrepair and quickly discover that the roof is in danger of collapsing. With Kevin's permission, they carefully remove some of the barn's wooden beams and rafters, which they load onto their truck.
Throughout the episode, Mike, Robert, and the rest of the Salvage Dawgs team work tirelessly to carefully remove materials from the farmhouse. They take care to preserve as much of the original materials as possible, knowing that they are an important part of the home's history. By the end of the episode, they have salvaged a wide variety of materials, including old bricks, wooden shutters, and unique windows.
As with all episodes of Salvage Dawgs, the team emphasizes the importance of preserving history through the salvaging of old materials. Their work on the Weatherford Farmhouse helps ensure that pieces of Virginia's history are not lost to time.
