A reality television series based on the search for the perfect wedding day garments, Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids is set in the Bridals by Lori bridal salon in Atlanta, Georgia. Each episode focuses on a bride and her bridal party consisting of an assortment of friends and family, maids and matrons of honor, and the bridesmaids, all searching for the perfect dresses for the bridesmaids that will complete the bride-to-be's vision of a perfect wedding. Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids is a part of the TLC network's successful bridal reality series of the same name. The series focuses on the unique situations presented by each new bridal party and the difficulty of finding matching or similar looking dresses that can simultaneously please all of the bridesmaids and satisfy the bride's wedding day dreams. Bridal consultants work to reconcile the expectations of a bride with those of her bridesmaids, which can prove more challenging in some episodes when bridal parties may have up to a dozen unacquainted individuals and little common ground when it comes to their tastes in style. Some episodes deal with other common bridal party problems such as differences in dress sizes, conflicting personalities, self-esteem issues, and the financial costs of being a bridesmaid. Salon owner Lori Allen, along with friend and fashion director Monte Durham, frequently assist with client appointments, bringing sensible advice and empowering bridal pep talks for the ladies on the show, while giving their thoughts and opinions on the progress and outcomes of appointments to the viewers at home via private camera sessions interspersed throughout each episode. The first six episodes of Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids aired in the summer of 2011. Following a successful pilot season, TLC authorized two more seasons of the reality series for 2012. Each episode is approximately 30 minutes in length.
