Ep 3. My White Whale

In the third episode of the third season of Scrubs, entitled "My White Whale," Dr. Cox is convinced that one of his patients is his "white whale" - the one patient he can never seem to diagnose or cure. He becomes obsessed with figuring out what's wrong with the patient and spends all of his time and energy trying to come up with a diagnosis.

Meanwhile, J.D. is dealing with his own issues as he tries to decide whether or not to pursue a relationship with Elliot. He's torn between his feelings for her and his fear of ruining their friendship, and he turns to Turk for advice.

As Dr. Cox's obsession with his patient grows, he begins to neglect his other duties as a doctor and as a father to his son, Jack. He starts missing important events in Jack's life and doesn't seem to care about anything except solving his medical mystery.

J.D. and Turk try to intervene and get Dr. Cox to snap out of his obsession, but their efforts are unsuccessful. It's not until he realizes that he's been neglecting his son that Dr. Cox is finally able to let go of his "white whale" and focus on what's truly important in his life.

Throughout the episode, we see the theme of obsession and how it can affect our relationships and priorities. We also see the importance of balancing our personal and professional lives, and how neglecting one can have consequences in the other.

As always, Scrubs delivers its signature blend of humor and heart, tackling serious issues with a light touch that never feels preachy or heavy-handed. This episode is a great example of why the show has become a beloved classic, and is not to be missed by fans of the series.
