Ep 39. Answer the PHONE

Maria needs to place an important call, but every telephone on the block seems to be out of order, except for Oscar's, which David spots being used in conversation. Maria approaches him to use the phone, but he's too wrapped up in his call with his friend Grumpy arguing over Grouch baseball teams. He eventually hands her the receiver, which is also broken - he was simply pretending to talk to someone.
