Ep 11. The Young And The Relentless

The Young and the Relentless is the Eleventh episode of the second season of the Sci-fi adventure series Sliders. One of their members, a scientist named Dr. Sigmund, explains to them that the A-process works by putting people into a state of suspended animation, thus halting the aging process.

The Sliders team decides to help the resistance and overthrow The Keepers who have been ruling the planet for over 50 years. Meanwhile, Rembrandt discovers that The Keepers have identified him as a candidate for the A-process, owing to his good looks and charming personality. The Keepers wish to keep him young forever so that he can continue to charm people and make them consume the A-process indefinitely. Rembrandt managed to escape, and later reunites with the rest of the team to plan their attack.

The team and the resistance group decide to use an old rocket as their weapon and launch an attack on The Keepers' castle, where the A-process is produced. Rembrandt distracts The Keepers in a musical performance while the rest of the team makes its way into the castle. They succeed in hacking the computer and destroying the machinery, thus putting an end to the production of the A-process.

The climax of the episode sees the team and the resistance group celebrating their victory and looking forward to a future where everyone can age and enjoy the natural cycle of life. Arturo, however, reminds them of the fact that they're just Sliders, and they still need to find a way back to their own world. They leave behind a grateful resistance group and continue their journey through the multiverse.

The Young and the Relentless deals with an interesting concept that is relevant in today's world - the obsession with staying young and preventing old age. The episode is well written and executed, with some great performances from the cast. It is an exciting adventure that keeps the viewers hooked until the end.
