Ep 4. The Good, The Bad, And The Wealthy

The Sliders find themselves in what appears to be a Wild West-themed world where the wealthy run everything. They witness a group of bandits holding up a stagecoach, but soon discover that the bandits are actually part of a larger scheme orchestrated by the local law enforcement. The Sheriff, who is the most powerful man in this world, is running a protection racket where he charges exorbitant fees to protect the wealthy from the bandit attacks that he himself orchestrates.

As the Sliders try to figure out a way to leave this world, they meet a wealthy woman named Amanda who is tired of living in fear and is willing to help them. She introduces them to a group of rebels who are fighting against the Sheriff's corrupt regime. The Sliders join the rebels and come up with a plan to take down the Sheriff once and for all.

Meanwhile, Quinn is struggling with his inner demons as he continues to be haunted by his double's death from the previous episode. He begins to question the morality of sliding and wonders if they are causing more harm than good by interfering with other worlds.

The rebels launch their attack on the Sheriff's mansion, but their plan goes awry when one of their own betrays them to the Sheriff. The Sliders are forced to improvise and come up with a new plan on the fly. The situation becomes dire when the Sheriff captures and threatens to execute one of the rebels.

In the end, the Sliders are able to outsmart the Sheriff and his men and escape through the vortex just in time. As they slide away, Quinn reflects on the events of their adventure and realizes that they may not be able to fix every world they encounter, but they can at least try to make a difference where they can.
