Ep 12. Insurgence

When the caves in Smallville suddenly begin to collapse, all evidence points towards a group of disgruntled and violent townsfolk who have been known to harbor some bitterness towards the Luthor family. Lex immediately suspects Lionel is behind the attack, but when they band together to investigate, they soon find themselves stranded and unable to return to the surface.

As they work to find a way out, tensions rise between Lex and Lionel over the past traumas and secrets they both still harbor. Meanwhile, Clark and Lana try to make their way to the caves to help their friends, but find that their own issues aren't so easy to leave behind.

As the group faces challenges and danger at every turn, Clark learns more about his Kryptonian heritage and the sacrifices his parents made to bring him to Earth. He also struggles to come to terms with his own powers and how to use them for the greater good.

Through it all, Smallville's strong sense of community shines through as friends and loved ones come together to support each other in the face of adversity. Insurgence is a thrilling and emotional installment of the series that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
