Something Borrowed, Something New is a reality television show that aires on TLC. The show features soon to be brides who have yet to buy a wedding dress. During the show, they have to choose between an old wedding dress that has been re-designed or a new wedding dress. The show is hosted by Kelly Nishimoto and Sam Saboura. Kelly Nishimoto, a fashion designer, works with the brides old dress to update it and make it more appealing. The old dress has usually been passed down to the bride from her mother or another family member. Sam Saboura, a professional stylist, assists the bride in picking a new wedding dress. He shops with the bride and helps her find the perfect designer dress for her wedding. The bride's mother or the previous wearer of the old dress usually accompanies her throughout the dress picking process. But in the end, the bride must decide which dress she will wear.
