The boys also discover Damien's true identity and try to convince him not to follow his father's dark plans. They even take him to a church, where they hope to save his soul. However, the priest is corrupted and tries to persuade Damien to join him in his own dark plans.
In the end, Damien decides to leave the town and return to his father, but not before showing the boys a glimpse of his true powers. He levitates into the air and spits fire, frightening the boys and leaving them with a sense of awe.
