In the South Park season 2 episode 18 titled "Prehistoric Ice Man," the plot revolves around the town's discovery of a frozen caveman from prehistoric times. The discovery stirs up a lot of sensationalism, and the town quickly becomes divided over what to do with the caveman.

The episode begins with Randy Marsh, Stan's dad, taking him and his friends, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny, on a hunting trip. While on the trip, the boys spot the caveman frozen in a block of ice. They rush to town to tell everyone about their discovery, and soon the whole town is buzzing with excitement.

The news of the discovery spreads fast, and soon a team of scientists led by Dr. Alphonse Mephisto arrives in the town to examine the caveman. The scientists are amazed by what they see and announce that the caveman must have lived over billions of years ago. They also declare that he may have been the missing link between humans and apes.

Meanwhile, the town is divided over what to do with the caveman. The mayor of the town insists that the caveman should be put on display in a museum to attract tourists, while others believe that he should be studied in a lab to learn more about how humans evolved.

As the debate continues, the caveman is thawed out and brought to life. The people of the town are amazed to see that he is alive, and they quickly name him "Steve." At first, Steve struggles to adjust to life in the modern world. He is fascinated by the wonders of modern technology but is terrified by the noise of cars and trucks.

However, Steve soon becomes a celebrity in the town, and people flock to see him. He spends his days signing autographs, giving interviews, and appearing on talk shows. Meanwhile, the boys are convinced that they should help Steve find a girlfriend so that he can start a family and continue the lineage of prehistoric humans.

The boys set out to find a suitable mate for Steve and eventually come across a female gorilla, who they believe would be a perfect match for him. They bring the gorilla to the town, and Steve is immediately smitten with her. However, the scientists warn that Steve and the gorilla are different species and cannot mate.

Frustrated and upset, Steve runs away from the town and seeks refuge in a cave. The boys go after him and find him there, feeling dejected and alone. They try to convince him to return to town, but Steve insists that he cannot live in the modern world.

The boys eventually convince Steve to return to town, and he agrees. However, when they return, they find that the town has already moved on from Steve and is now focusing on a new discovery - a giant chicken with three legs.

In the end, the boys realize that Steve's story is just a passing fad and that the town is always looking for something new and exciting. They take Steve back to the cave and re-freeze him, realizing that he is better off living in the past.

Overall, the South Park season 2 episode 18 "Prehistoric Ice Man" is a hilarious commentary on our obsession with sensationalism and our constant search for something new and exciting. The episode is filled with memorable characters and moments, and it perfectly captures the spirit of South Park - irreverent, irreverent, and always entertaining.
