Ep 8. Summer Sucks

Summer Sucks is the eighth episode of the second season of the American animated television series South Park. In this episode, the young residents of South Park are enjoying their summer vacation, but the extreme heat wave is making things difficult. The air conditioning is broken, the swimming pool is closed, and the local pizza place is closed for renovations.

In the midst of the heat wave, Kyle's little brother Ike is abducted by aliens. The boys race to rescue him and end up on a spaceship where they are tested and probed. Meanwhile, Chef is approached by a group of aliens who offer to take him to a more pleasant planet where the women are beautiful and the land is fertile. However, Chef turns them down as he is loyal to his hometown of South Park.

As the boys continue their journey through the spaceship, they stumble upon a room filled with celebrities who have also been abducted by the aliens. Tom Cruise, Rosie O'Donnell, and Barbra Streisand are all present and begin to argue amongst themselves about who is the most powerful celebrity.

Back on Earth, Stan's dad Randy becomes obsessed with a new video rental machine in the local store. He rents every movie in the store and becomes increasingly agitated when the machine malfunctions and begins to give him the wrong movies.

The episode culminates with the boys successfully rescuing Ike from the aliens and the celebrities continuing to argue amongst themselves. Randy finally destroys the video rental machine, ending his obsession, and the residents of South Park continue to suffer through the heat wave.
