Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are back for another adventure in the thirteenth episode of South Park's third season, titled "Starvin' Marvin in Space." After a satellite dish accidentally sends a signal to a group of perpetually hungry, alien creatures, the boys find themselves serving as intergalactic peacekeepers.
The episode begins with the boys camping in the woods, trying to earn their merit badges. While attempting to set up their tent, they accidentally point a satellite dish into space, which sends a signal to a group of aliens on their home planet of Marklar. The aliens, who are constantly hungry due to a lack of resources on their planet, mistake the signal for a message of salvation and set course for Earth.
When the aliens arrive, they are greeted by the boys and discover that Earth has plenty of food. The boys try to help the aliens integrate into society, but they are met with xenophobia and ignorance from the town's residents. Meanwhile, the Marklar government sends a spaceship to Earth to retrieve the aliens and bring them back to their planet.
As the boys try to help the aliens escape the persecution of the townsfolk, they inadvertently find themselves on the Marklar government's spaceship, headed to the alien planet. Upon arriving, they learn that the Marklar government is highly corrupt and that the people of the planet are suffering from a lack of resources as a result of their leaders' actions.
The boys, along with the hungry aliens, team up to overthrow the corrupt Marklar government and restore order to the planet. As they attempt to navigate the planet's treacherous terrain, they encounter a number of obstacles, including deadly beasts and treacherous terrain.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, the townsfolk are left to deal with the aftermath of the alien invasion and the boys' disappearance. With the help of a group of hippies and some unexpected allies, they try to save the boys and prevent the Marklars from destroying the planet.
In "Starvin' Marvin in Space," the creators of South Park continue to explore themes of xenophobia, corruption, and the corrupting influence of power. The episode is full of biting satire and clever social commentary, while also delivering plenty of laughs along the way. With its sharp writing, strong performances, and skillful animation, "Starvin' Marvin in Space" is a standout episode in an already impressive season.
