Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Butters are all excited about the upcoming school break for spring break, but their enthusiasm is dampened when they overhear their parents talking about the financial burden of the upcoming Tooth Fairy visit. The boys learn that the current rate for a lost tooth is now $2.00, up from the previous rate of $1.00. They decide to take advantage of the situation by starting up their own Tooth Fairy business, offering to pay $2.00 for lost teeth but also offering tattoos as an additional incentive.

Initially, the boys are very successful in their new business venture, but they soon realize that they have a lot of competition from established Tooth Fairy businesses and the influx of new Tooth Fairies in the area. In order to keep their business afloat, the boys first try to beat out the competition by offering body piercings as well as tattoos. However, this idea doesn’t go over well and they are forced to change tack.

The boys instead focus on creating a more profitable business model by buying second-hand teeth from underprivileged children at a lower price and then reselling them to the Tooth Fairies at the higher market rate. The idea is a hit, and the boys soon become extremely wealthy. However, they are later forced to deal with the consequences of their actions when one child’s parents sue them for harming their child’s oral health.

Meanwhile, the Tooth Fairy industry itself is starting to spiral out of control. In an attempt to keep up with demand, Tooth Fairies are forced to work long hours, resulting in a number of injuries and accidents. The Tooth Fairies decide to form a union to demand better working conditions and higher wages, but the result is even worse for the Tooth Fairy industry as a whole. The demand for higher wages results in the price of lost teeth increasing to an unsustainable level and the industry collapses.

Overall, The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000 doesn’t disappoint in terms of classic South Park humor, but it also has a deeper message about greed, consumerism, and worker exploitation. It’s a great episode to start off season 4, and it sets a high standard for what’s to come in the rest of the season.
