Ep 1. House Guest / Space Race

Steven Universe is an animated sci-fi series that follows the adventures of a young boy named Steven who lives with a group of magical beings called the Crystal Gems. After the race, Steven is surprised to find out that his father has been keeping a secret from him. Greg reveals that he used to be a musician and shows Steven his guitar. Steven is thrilled and convinces his father to play a song for him. As Greg plays, Steven realizes that his father is capable of finding joy in other things, even if he can't do stunts anymore.

The episode ends with the Gems returning from the space race, victorious. They have won the engine they need to repair their ship and continue their adventures with Steven. Although Greg is still recovering, Steven is happy to have found a new way to bond with his father and is optimistic about the future.
