In Steven Universe season 3 episode 104, titled "Mr. Greg / Too Short To Ride," viewers are treated to two separate storylines.
In "Mr. Greg," Steven's father, Greg, takes him and Pearl to Empire City for a night of luxury and relaxation. Greg feels guilty for not being able to help Pearl cope with the loss of Rose Quartz, and hopes the luxurious city will help her take her mind off of things. As they explore the city's nightlife, they run into a wealthy acquaintance of Greg's, Marty. Marty offers to help them out financially in exchange for a song, but Pearl refuses to participate due to her resentment of Marty's treatment of Greg in the past. This leads to a spectacular musical number sung by Greg and Steven titled "It's Over Isn't It," in which Greg tries to convince Pearl to let go of her anger and enjoy life.
In "Too Short To Ride," Peridot is feeling left out because she is the only Crystal Gem without a special power. Amethyst takes her to Funland, a nearby amusement park, in an effort to cheer her up. Once there, they discover that one of Peridot's favorite rides, the "Meep Morp," is closed for repairs. Peridot is determined to fix it, despite the fact that she is too small to ride most of the park's attractions. With Amethyst's help, Peridot discovers that she does have a special power after all - the ability to control metal objects with her mind. They use this power to fix the "Meep Morp," and Peridot is finally able to enjoy the park on her terms.
Overall, "Mr. Greg / Too Short To Ride" is a heartwarming and musically-driven episode that explores themes of grief, forgiveness, and self-discovery. Viewers will appreciate the intricate world-building and character development that is a hallmark of the Steven Universe franchise.
