She struggles with the physical demands of her work and is constantly reminded of her low status by the other servants. As the day goes on, Su Baek-hyang discovers that there is a festival being held in the palace and decides to attend with So-hwa. However, when Mi-shil finds out, she tries to stop them from going, saying that it is not appropriate for servants to attend such events. But Su Baek-hyang stands up to her and insists that she has the right to attend the festival.

At the festival, Su Baek-hyang and So-hwa enjoy themselves, but their happiness is short-lived when Mi-shil arrives and causes trouble. She accuses Su Baek-hyang of stealing a valuable item and tries to have her punished. But Prince Gyeongwon intervenes and proves Su Baek-hyang's innocence, much to the embarrassment of Mi-shil.
