Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 1 Episode 4 Death Game

In Sword Art Online Alternative "Gun Gale Online" season 1 episode 4 titled "Death Game," Karen, known by her online persona LLENN, participates in a team battle royale called Squad Jam with her friend Miyu, known as Fukaziroh, and two other players Pitohui and M, who they met during a previous game. The Squad Jam consists of 23 teams with four players each fighting against each other, and the last team standing wins.

Karen and Miyu initially struggle to work as a team, with Karen feeling anxious about her performance and Miyu being overly aggressive, but they manage to score some kills. However, when they come across Pitohui and M, they discover that they are actually members of the infamous PM4 group, known for their ruthless tactics and high kill counts. Despite being scared, Karen and Miyu agree to team up with them to improve their chances of winning the game.

As the Squad Jam continues, the teams engage in intense battles, and Karen and Miyu's team manages to eliminate a few others. However, things take a turn when Pitohui reveals her true intentions of participating in the game. Pitohui is a competitive player who is bored with the game's lack of danger and thrill, and so she came up with a plan to turn the Squad Jam into a death game where the losers would be killed in real life.

To fulfill her plan, Pitohui disables the safety settings on their weapons, and the game becomes even more brutal. Karen and Miyu are horrified at Pitohui's madness and try to persuade her to stop, but Pitohui is too far gone and declares that she wants to experience the ultimate thrill of fighting for her life.

Realizing they cannot reason with Pitohui, Karen and Miyu decide to take on PM4 themselves. In the midst of the chaos, Karen manages to successfully take out one of PM4's members but is gravely injured. As she lays dying, Karen reflects on her life and how she found a new purpose in Gun Gale Online.

The episode ends with Karen being revived in the game and continuing to fight, determined to put an end to Pitohui's insane plan and win the Squad Jam with her friends.
