Kirito is back in the virtual world, Gun Gale Online, after the events of SAO. He now works as a part-time employee at a video game company called Rath. He is testing a new Full Dive system, which is supposed to be safer than the one used in SAO. While at a welcome-back party, Kirito meets a man named Shigemura who tells him about a mysterious player known as Death Gun. Death Gun apparently has the ability to kill players in the real world by killing their avatars in Gun Gale Online.

Kirito is initially skeptical about the story, but soon his interest is piqued when a player is indeed killed in real life shortly after being killed in the game. Kirito decides to investigate, and as he delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers that Death Gun is not working alone. He partners with a player named Sinon, who is an expert sniper, to uncover the truth behind Death Gun.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, a young girl named Asuna is worried about Kirito's safety. She learns about the Full Dive system and the dangers it poses, and she becomes determined to find a way to help Kirito. She also starts to investigate on her own, and she discovers a connection between Rath and a strange hospital called the Ocean Turtle.

As Kirito and Sinon get closer to Death Gun, they discover that he is actually a member of a group of assassins known as Laughing Coffin, who were responsible for many deaths in SAO. They realize that Death Gun is targeting former Laughing Coffin members who were involved in those killings, and they race against time to stop him before he can kill again.

The investigation leads Kirito and Sinon to the BoB (Bullet of Bullets) tournament, which is a battle royale between the top players in Gun Gale Online. They decide to enter the tournament, hoping to get closer to Death Gun and stop him before it's too late. Along the way, they encounter many other players who also have their own reasons for being there.

As the tournament progresses, Kirito and Sinon must use all of their skills and knowledge to survive and get closer to their goal. They face off against powerful opponents, uncover dangerous secrets, and ultimately confront Death Gun in a climactic final battle.

The episode sets up the overarching plotline for the season, introducing the main characters and the world of Gun Gale Online. While there is action and suspense, there is also a focus on character development and exploring the motivations of each character.
