Ep 7. Playing Favorites!

In this episode of Tanked, titled "Playing Favorites!", the team at Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM) are presented with three unique and challenging tank builds to complete.

First up is a tank for a family who want to surprise their marine biologist daughter with a new home for her beloved clownfish. The catch? They want the tank to resemble a giant clownfish, complete with the ability to open and close its mouth. The ATM team gets to work designing and building a one-of-a-kind tank, with Wayde even taking a trip to the aquarium to see first-hand how the clownfish behave. But when a problem arises with the mechanism for the mouth, will they be able to fix it in time for the big reveal?

Next, the team is tasked with creating a unique tank for a corporate client who wants to showcase their company logo in an aquarium. They want the logo to be incorporated into the tank in a way that is both eye-catching and functional, so that it can be used as a display at trade shows. The team comes up with a clever design that not only incorporates the company's logo, but also features a moving conveyor belt that carries golf balls through the tank – a nod to the client's love of golf.

Finally, the team is challenged with creating a tank for a Las Vegas casino that will house a variety of exotic fish. The casino wants the tank to be interactive, with buttons that visitors can push to activate different features. The fish tank experts at ATM come up with an impressive design that includes a waterfall, a hidden cave, and a bubbling volcano, all of which can be activated by pushing buttons located throughout the tank. But will it meet the casino's high standards and pass their rigorous testing process?

Throughout the episode, viewers get an inside look at the creative and technical processes involved in designing and building custom fish tanks. From brainstorming sessions to building scale models to the final installation, the ATM team works tirelessly to bring their clients' visions to life. And despite a few hiccups along the way, each tank turns out to be a stunning and unique addition to its respective setting.
