Ep 2. Scared Spitless

As if the race wasn't hard enough, the producers have thrown in an extra element of a surprise! The teams must complete the lock challenge while reviving their fear of snakes. Once they arrive at the task location, they are informed they will each be entering a pit filled with snakes, with python and boa constrictors slithering around. If this wasn't tough enough, they then find out that the next clue is somewhere within the pit.

Understandably, the racers are not thrilled about entering a pit filled with snakes. However, they face their fears and enter the pit to find the next clue. After an exhausting experience, the racers are excited to get out of the pit and onto the next challenge.

The next challenge involves scaling a building, and while this sounds like a regular stunt on any action movie set, the catch is that the building is lit on fire! The building is located in the heart of the city's historic district, and the teams must climb up a few floors to the roof while avoiding obstacles and building destruction. This race segment is full of tension and excitement, as the racers work hard to secure their position in the competition.

In the end, it all comes down to who can complete the challenges and reach the mat at the end of the leg in the shortest time possible. Along the way, the racers must work as a team and utilize their strengths to outsmart their competition. As the episode comes to a close, one team is eliminated, and ten continue on to the next leg of the race.
