The Company You Keep is a drama series that premiered on ABC in February 2023. The show centers around a night of passion between CIA officer Emma Hill and con man Charlie Nicoletti that leads to unexpected consequences. Emma is a highly principled CIA officer in charge of hunting down dangerous fugitives. She lives a rather solitary life, intensely devoted to her work. Charlie is a skillful grifter who always manages to stay one step ahead of the law. After their fleeting but intense encounter, Emma discovers she is pregnant with Charlie's child.

Keeping the pregnancy a secret from the CIA, Emma tracks down Charlie to deliver the life-changing news. Charlie is less than thrilled to learn he is going to be a father. However, when members of Charlie's crew are targeted by a powerful group of smugglers, Charlie realizes he needs Emma's help to keep his friends and newfound family safe.

What ensues is a thrilling story of two people from opposite worlds who are linked forever through an unplanned pregnancy. Emma and Charlie must find a way to work together for the sake of their child, while still pursuing their individual goals and evading dangerous criminals. Their tentative partnership is constantly tested as they try to determine if they can ever really trust each other.

Charlie wrestles with leaving his criminal past behind to become a responsible father. Sparks inevitably reignite between the two, complicating matters even further.
