The Dick Francis Thriller: The Racing Game

Dick Francis's jockey sleuth Sid Halley comes to life in this six episode mini-series, The Racing Game. Starring Mike Gwilym as Halley, the champion jump jockey who has had his career destroyed with his hand by a fall from a horse is in desperation. Bewildered in the aftermath of the accident his ex-father-in-law needs him to look into a possible takeover of the Seabury race course and some suspicious deaths that have taken place there. Assisted by his friend Chico Barnes, an ex-heavy and an expert at judo they investigate cases all at the seedy heart of the horseracing world.
