Beverly is thrilled to have an opportunity to catch up with her old high school friend Lainey. However, she gets more than she bargained for when Lainey turns out to be a bad influence on her youngest son, Barry.

Barry is excited to go out with Lainey and her friends, but Beverly is hesitant to let him go. She knows that Lainey can be a wild child and she worries that Barry might get into trouble. After some convincing, Beverly finally gives in and lets Barry go out with Lainey.

Meanwhile, Murray is dealing with his own parenting crisis. His eldest son, Adam, is starting to grow up and Murray doesn't know how to deal with it. Adam is no longer interested in spending time with his dad and would rather hang out with his friends. Murray feels left out and tries to find a way to connect with his son.

As Barry spends more time with Lainey, Beverly's fears start to come true. Barry starts acting out and getting into trouble. He skips school, breaks curfew, and even sneaks out of the house to hang out with Lainey. Beverly is beside herself with worry and doesn't know what to do.

At the same time, Murray is struggling to find a way to connect with Adam. He feels like his son is growing up too fast and he's losing him. Murray tries to bond with Adam by taking him to a sports game, but it doesn't go as planned. Adam is bored and uninterested.

As the episode progresses, both Beverly and Murray realize that they need to let go a little bit. When they try to control their children too much, it only leads to rebellion. Beverly learns to trust Barry and let him make his own choices, while Murray learns to let Adam grow up and find his own way.

In the end, both kids and parents find common ground. Barry realizes that he needs to be responsible and make good choices, while Beverly realizes that she can't protect her children from everything. Adam also realizes that he still needs his dad, even if they don't have everything in common.

Overall, "Call Me When You Get There" is an episode about parents and children learning to trust each other. It's a relatable and heartwarming story that will resonate with anyone who has ever had to let go of a child.
