Ep 9. A Visit From Little Sven

It is a sunny day in Miami and the Golden Girls are lounging in the living room sharing stories and recollecting memories. As they chat, Rose receives a call from her cousin Sven who informs her that his 10-year-old son, Little Sven, will be staying with them for a few days. While Rose is excited to have her little cousin over, the rest of the girls are skeptical about having a child in their home, especially Little Sven who has a reputation for being mischievous and disruptive.

As Little Sven arrives, the girls are immediately taken aback by his overly energetic demeanor. However, they soon realize that Little Sven is a big fan of the Golden Girls and he becomes enamored with the ladies as they share their own unique stories with him. Blanche takes Sven to the beach where they both indulge in ice cream, while Dorothy teaches Sven how to play an old game of chess.

Meanwhile, Sophia is less than thrilled about having a child in the house and voices her opinion to Rose who kindly reminds her that it's only for a few days. As the night wears on, the girls realize that their memories of childhood are not too far from them, and they all bond over the different experiences they had growing up. As the day comes to an end, the girls gather around to say goodnight to Little Sven, who is eager to return the following day.

The following day, the ladies decide to show Little Sven around the city, starting with a visit to the local zoo. They are thrilled to see the excitement on Sven's face as he encounters several exotic animals he had never seen before. They then move on to the amusement park where they ride the Ferris Wheel and other rides, with Little Sven barely able to contain his excitement.

The day continues to unfold with the girls taking Little Sven to a local art exhibit and then having dinner at a fancy restaurant they had frequented in the past. As they sit down to eat Little Sven expresses his gratitude to the ladies and tells them how much fun he's had with them. The girls smile at him with compassion and reassure him that they are happy to have him around. They all agree that while it's challenging to have a child around, it is also a reminder of the joy they had as children themselves.

As they return home, Little Sven thanks the Golden Girls and informs them that his father will be picking him up in the morning. The ladies express their sadness at his departure, but Little Sven assures them he will be back soon, and then quickly runs off to bed. As the girls turn in for the night, they reflect on their time with Little Sven and how it brought them all closer together. It is a reminder that even in the midst of obstacles, sometimes unexpected joy can be found.
