Ep 4. Rose Fights Back

The Golden Girls season 5 episode 4, titled "Rose Fights Back," opens with Rose joining a new aerobics class at the community center. After the class ends, she is approached by the instructor, Dirk, who asks her out on a date. Rose is thrilled, but when she tells the other Golden Girls about it, they become suspicious of Dirk's intentions and warn her to be careful.

Meanwhile, Blanche is preparing for a big auction where she plans to sell off some of her prized possessions, including a valuable painting and a designer dress. She invites Dorothy and Sophia to help her, but their bickering soon becomes too much for Blanche to handle, and she asks them to leave.

Back at the community center, Rose goes on her date with Dirk, but soon realizes that he is only interested in her for her money. He attempts to take advantage of her by suggesting they go to a hotel, but Rose stands up for herself and demands that he take her home immediately.

Feeling proud of herself for standing up to Dirk, Rose decides to take her newfound confidence to the auction. She bids on a few items herself, much to Blanche's surprise, and ultimately wins the designer dress. But when she tries it on, she discovers that Blanche has sabotaged it by sewing in a faulty zipper. Furious at Blanche's betrayal, Rose confronts her in front of everyone at the auction, leading to a heated argument between the two friends.

As the episode comes to a close, the Golden Girls make amends and reflect on the power of female friendships. Rose's courage in standing up for herself serves as a reminder to all of them to always speak up and fight for what's right.
