Ep 5. Another Broken Morning

Cassie is still trying to cope with the fact that she has an unusual gift that enables her to communicate with the dead. However, things only seem to get tougher as she finds herself in the middle of a new case, aiding Detective Tom Hackett once again. This time, their case involves an apparent suicide, and while Hackett believes that it's a clear cut and dry situation, Cassie feels that something is off. Doing what she does best, she investigates the case further, only to discover that there's more to it than what meets the eye. As she navigates through her visions and encounters with the dead, Cassie discovers that the victim was murdered and sets out on a mission to find the killer.

Meanwhile, Tom struggles to balance his work with his family life, especially as his daughter Abby recovers from her attack. On the other hand, his partner, Damien fears that his ties to the case may come back to haunt him and Cassie as they close in on the killer.

As the investigation progresses, Cassie discovers that the victim, who was a divorce lawyer, had secrets that she never revealed to anyone. Soon, she finds herself dealing with vengeful spirits and trying to unravel the mystery of the victim's hidden life. The deeper Cassie gets into the case, the more she realizes that the victim's personal life and professional life were not as separate as they seemed. As she tries to zero in on the killer, she comes across some shocking revelations about the victim's past that lead her to people who are determined to stop her from uncovering the truth.

Despite the dangers she faces, Cassie refuses to give up on the case, determined to find justice for the victim and closure for their loved ones. However, as she works her way through the tangled web of lies and secrets, she realizes that her gift of seeing the dead may only be the beginning of her journey. With each new case, Cassie learns more about herself and her abilities and realizes that her gift may be the key to solving some of the toughest cases.

In this episode, Cassie grows even more as a person and as a detective, learning to trust her instincts and her gift. As she confronts some of the darkest secrets of the victim's past, she also confronts her own fears and doubts, finding the courage to stand up for what she believes in and to fight for justice.
