Ep 12. Net Prophets

Doug and Carrie are in search for an apartment for Arthur who is just about to be released from the hospital. They finally find a comfortable place for him, but the rent is exorbitantly high. On the other hand, they discover that their internet service provider has been avoiding refunding their $150 service charge after their complaint for lack of bandwidth. Doug decides to take it upon himself to argue their case before a panel of judges in court and receives an offer of $2,500 to settle their claim. However, his bid to assert his newfound legal expertise eventually becomes overwhelming for him as he gets attached to his newfound persona as a "Net Prophet." Meanwhile, Arthur is enjoying the many benefits that come with his new abode, giving the new apartment complex a run for its money through his enthusiasm and contagious personality. With his newfound independence, Arthur eventually forms a bond with Amy, a fellow tenant, quickly becoming her favorite resident in the complex. As the day of his release fast approaches, Arthur is becoming increasingly nervous to leave this new chapter of his life behind. Eventually, on the all-important court day, Doug finds himself unprepared to stand in front of the three-judge panel. As the case begins, he bungles through the proceedings and tries to conceal his errors by causing a commotion in the courthouse. He returns to the house as a defeated man, ready to face laughing jabs from Carrie and Arthur. In the end, they find they don't need the expensive apartment and manage to get Arthur convalescing comfortably at home.
