Ep 7. The Country Club

In The Mick season 1 episode 7, titled "The Country Club," Mackenzie "Mickey" Murphy, a hard-partying woman who takes on the responsibility of raising her sister's three spoiled children, gets a taste of high society when she visits a country club with her niece and nephew.

As they arrive, Mickey is immediately uncomfortable with the pretentious atmosphere and the snobby members of the club, including one particularly rude woman named Penelope. Mickey's niece Sabrina, however, is thrilled to be at the club and desperate to fit in with the other wealthy teenagers.

Mickey's discomfort escalates when she discovers that the club has a strict dress code and her outfit doesn't meet the requirements. She decides to sneak into the ladies' restroom to change her clothes, but runs into Penelope who catches her in the act. In order to avoid getting kicked out, Mickey has to improvise and pretend to be a new member of the club.

Mickey's plan seems to be working until Sabrina's crush, a boy named Bryce, invites her to play tennis. Mickey has never played tennis before and embarrasses herself in front of everyone, including her ex-boyfriend Jimmy who is also a member of the club. To make matters worse, Bryce's mother catches them playing and threatens to have them kicked out for breaking the rules.

Desperate to salvage their day at the club, Mickey and Sabrina concoct a plan to get revenge on Penelope by stealing her golf cart. The plan backfires when they accidentally crash the cart into a drainage ditch, ruining the fancy vehicle and causing chaos on the golf course.

Just when things couldn't get any worse, the family's youngest child, Ben, goes missing in the chaos. The family frantically searches for him, leading them to a secluded part of the golf course where they find him happy and playing with a group of friendly kids who don't care about the country club's strict rules.

In the end, Mickey realizes that she doesn't need to conform to the expectations of the country club's members and that her family is far more important than fitting in with society's elite. Despite the chaos they caused, the family ends up having a great day together and making memories that will last a lifetime.
