Ep 8. The Snitch

Mackenzie "Mickey" Murphy takes on the responsibility of raising her wealthy sister's three kids after their parents flee the country to escape federal charges. In season one, episode eight titled "The Snitch," Mickey is faced with a tough choice when she learns that one of the kids has become a snitch in their school's drug ring.

The episode begins with Mickey and the kids enjoying a night in, watching movies and eating junk food. However, the calm is quickly interrupted when Ben, the youngest of the trio, reveals that he's been skipping school and selling drugs. Mickey is understandably upset but also angry that her sister and brother-in-law left her to deal with such a mess in the first place. The situation is made even worse when they discover that one of the other kids in the drug ring is snitching on them to the school principal.

Mickey decides to take matters into her own hands and goes undercover as a substitute teacher at the school in order to get to the bottom of things. She quickly realizes that being a teacher is harder than it looks, but she's determined to find out who the snitch is and get her family out of trouble. Along the way, Mickey also tries to teach the kids a lesson about responsibility and the consequences of their actions.

As Mickey tries to navigate the complicated world of high school cliques and drug deals, she also has to deal with her own personal issues. Her ex-boyfriend Jimmy pays her a surprise visit, throwing her off balance and causing her to question her feelings for him. Meanwhile, she also has to deal with Poodle, the mother of her sister's former flame and a thorn in Mickey's side.

The episode is full of both comedic and dramatic moments as Mickey juggles her various responsibilities and tries to do what's best for her family. The kid actors deliver strong performances, particularly the youngest Ben who is both cute and mischievous. It's also great to see Mickey take charge and prove that she's capable of handling even the most difficult of situations.

Overall, "The Snitch" is a solid episode of The Mick that highlights the show's strengths - witty writing, an excellent cast, and a perfect blend of humor and heart. Fans of the show will definitely want to check it out, especially as it sets up some interesting storylines for future episodes.
