Ep 10. Mindy's Brother

Mindy's Brother is the tenth episode of the first season of the popular sitcom, The Mindy Project. The episode starts with Mindy's brother, Rishi (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar), arriving in New York to visit her. Meanwhile, at work, Mindy finds out that Danny (played by Chris Messina), the man she has a crush on, has been in a serious relationship for the past two years. She is heartbroken and tries to cope with this news by eating her feelings.

At a restaurant with her coworkers, Mindy eats a huge burger and fries, and suddenly starts choking. Danny swoops in and performs the Heimlich maneuver on her, saving her life. Mindy is ecstatic and grateful to Danny, and she thanks him by impulsively planting a kiss on his lips.
