Ep 11. The Lahiris and the Castellanos

In season 4 episode 11 of The Mindy Project, titled "The Lahiris and the Castellanos," Mindy's brother Rishi comes to visit from India with his wife and Mindy's parents. In an effort to impress Rishi, Mindy convinces Danny to pretend to be Catholic for the weekend, much to his discomfort. The entire group goes to church together, but the situation becomes complicated when Mindy's parents discover Danny's true identity. Meanwhile, Richie tries to connect with his estranged brother and reveals a secret that could potentially change Danny's life.

As tensions rise between the families, Mindy must navigate her own personal issues as well. She begins to worry about her future prospects with Danny and contemplates whether or not she wants to have children. She seeks advice from her friend Peter, but his own problems with commitment and fatherhood leave her feeling even more unsure.

Throughout the episode, the families continue to clash and secrets are revealed. Eventually, Mindy takes matters into her own hands and tries to bring everyone together with a surprise gift. However, her plan backfires and the families end up even more divided than before.

"The Lahiris and the Castellanos" is a classic episode of The Mindy Project, combining humor and heart as the characters deal with family drama and personal struggles.
