This reality show competition really brings the heat, to the grill that is. The show is hosted by Chef JJ Johnson and Owen Benjamin, a comedian who knows his way around a burger. The duo lead a group of excited contestants through a variety of themed challenges. At the end of each episode, another hopeful grill master is sent home narrowing down the competition for the ultimate glory, creating The Next Great Burger.

Expect some unorthodox ingredients, toppings, sauces, and cooking methods. The only thing that the show contestants have in common is their love for all things burgers which they give catchy names. Their tastes are extremely diverse and they use their different backgrounds to try to create the winning burger of the week and, ultimately, the entire season. The final winner is not chosen by the weekly judges but by a crowd of ravenous, burger-loving diners who vote for their favorite burger; winner takes all.

The Next Great Burger Full Episode Guide

  • After an exhaustive nationwide search, six of the best burger flippers in the country come together in St. Louis with $25,000 on the line. Only three will make it past the discerning palates of Chef JJ Johnson and comedian Owen Benjamin. And then a hungry crowd will decide who has The Next Great Burger.

  • Denver Executive Chef Eli Odell demonstrates classical technique with his fois gras topped Shroom Luvas Burger. Chef de Cuisine Bobby Hansen draws inspiration from Tennessee barbecue with his tri-tip/short rib/brisket Music City Bangin' Burger. And Philadelphia Sous Chef Teaon Everage hopes his campari tomato jam gets The Burger 2.0 to the finale.

  • Cleveland butcher Michael Rado pits his signature sirloin chuck blend The Burger against Phoenix food truck chef Adam Allison's more refined crab leg and duck fat hollandaise Surf and Turf Burger. And St. Louis restaurant owner Katie Lee Collier has the wild card entry - the Italian-inspired Ciao Bella Burger.

  • Featured burgers include creations from St. Louis executive chef AJ Benga, Washington, D.C., line cook Marvin Anthony, and Brooklyn food truck chef Andrew Zurica.

  • New Yorker Lex Taylor pits his burger creation against those of Aram Reed and Bob Brazell, two chefs trained at Le Cordon Bleu.

  • Seattle food truck chefs Trey Lamont and Syd Suntha pit their specialty burgers against personal chef Monterey Salka's creation.
