After countless years of annoyance, Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein) is finally leaving Dunder Mifflin Scranton to start a new life in Costa Rica.
As Toby prepares to depart, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) throws him a going away party. However, it quickly becomes clear that the celebration is less about feting Toby and more about Michael's attempt to prove that he is the most-loved person in the office.
Meanwhile, Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) continue to wrestle with their feelings for each other. Jim is poised to propose to Pam, but a series of unexpected events threaten to derail the couple's happily-ever-after.
As everyone says their goodbyes to Toby, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) puts together a special present that proves both touching and laugh-out-loud funny. The rest of the office is more divided in their sentiments towards Toby, as some are genuinely sorry to see him go, while others are more than happy to finally be rid of him.
The episode is full of the iconic cringe-worthy moments that make The Office a classic sitcom, but it also packs an emotional punch. Fans who have followed the show from the beginning will feel a real sense of closure as Toby exits the stage-for good or for ill. And for those who have never seen The Office before, it's a perfect introduction to the beloved mockumentary-style series.
