It's casual Friday at Dunder Mifflin and everyone is excited to ditch their suits and wear their favorite casual outfits to work. With Michael Scott as the enforcer of the company's dress code, casual Friday is a rare chance for employees to let loose.
As the day progresses, tensions rise as employees take advantage of the relaxed dress code. Dwight Schrute attempts to prove his dedication to Michael by coming to work in full karate attire, while Jim Halpert wears a three-piece suit as a joke.
Meanwhile, tensions continue to grow between Pam Beesly and Jim as they struggle to find their footing in their new relationship. Pam decides to use casual Friday as an opportunity to try out a new look, but things don't go quite as planned.
As the work day comes to a close, the employees gather in the parking lot for a company-wide barbeque. Michael, feeling the pressure to impress his employees, puts on a one-man show with some questionable jokes and a few ill-advised stunts.
Through all the craziness, the employees of Dunder Mifflin come to realize that sometimes it's important to let loose and have fun, even if it means breaking a few rules along the way.
