Ep 2. Help

Ali is the main protagonist in the television series The Protector. He discovers that he belongs to a group named the IMMORTALS after his father's death. The plot begins when Ali tries to fulfill his father's last wish, which is to protect Istanbul. As a result, Ali is entrusted with a mysterious form of power, which it brings with it responsibility and expectation.

Ali senses that Leyla is holding back, so he tells her that he needs her and wants to hear her story.

Leyla makes it clear that she doesn't trust Ali and is reluctant to engage with him. Ali persists in trying to convince her that he needs her help, and tells her that he has no counterpart and needs an inner circle. He goes on to tell her that he believes in her and reassures her that he has her best interests at heart. Leyla eventually opens up and explains to Ali that she witnessed a man performing extraordinary feats, such as lifting vehicles with a single hand.

Later, Ali tries to perform a similarly extraordinary feat. He witnesses something terrible and moves with the intention to help. He raises his hands and attempts to use his powers for the first time, but nothing happens.

In another scene, Leyla confronts her father about his confrontational behavior towards Yasin, the homeless man. Yasin, who was once a prosperous businessman, lost his family and wealth due to debt. Leyla’s father was responsible for Yasin's misfortunes and he never forgave himself. Thus, Leyla's father made an effort to help Yasin, but kept it hidden since he couldn’t face the person who had once been so close to him.
