The show centers on the interactions and drama between these stars and the dancers and their moms. It is full of conflict and the aspirations and talents of several of the dancers and how they interact with the instructors and each other as it goes behind the scenes to show what happens with the young dancers, the instructors and the moms. Every week a list comes out showing which dancers are considered the best and this list is different every week. The list is a competition between the dancers and is not based on things like who has the most awards, but instead on the way the dancers perform each week.
