The Secret Reunion is a television series focusing on the world of espionage and the spies from both sides who inhabit that world. A North Korean assassin is sent to South Korea to kill an escaped dissident who has recently been found. This North Korean is known as the Shadow. When the attempt fails due to the interference of his counterpart in another country's espionage service he is blocked from returning to his country but cannot defect to save his wife and child. He struggles through the years and eventually meets the other agent again. This reunion is anything but what is expected.
