The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show aired from 1980 to 1982 on CBS and was produced by Filmation Studios. The show featured the iconic cat and mouse duo, Tom and Jerry, in a variety of comedic situations, along with other classic cartoon characters, such as Droopy, Spike and Tyke, and Butch.

Lou Scheimer, Frank Welker, and Linda Gary provided the voices for the characters in the show. Scheimer, who was also the co-founder of Filmation Studios, voiced the character of Droopy, the slow-moving bloodhound who always gets his man. Welker, a veteran voice actor, provided the voices for Spike and Tyke, the tough bulldog and his young son, respectively. Gary, another accomplished voice actor, provided the voice for the show's female lead, a young girl named Cindy.

Each episode of the show consisted of three segments, with each segment featuring a different set of characters. The first segment would typically feature Tom and Jerry in a comedic chase sequence, with the two characters engaged in their signature game of cat and mouse. These segments were often set in different locations, such as an amusement park or a beach, and would involve Tom and Jerry using a variety of creative tactics to outsmart one another.

The second segment of the show would feature one of the other classic cartoon characters from the Tom and Jerry universe. For example, one segment might focus on Droopy, as he tries to track down an escaped criminal. Another segment might feature Spike and Tyke, as they deal with a persistent mouse who keeps raiding their food bowl.

The third segment of the show was typically a standalone cartoon, featuring a completely different set of characters. These segments would often be parodies of classic movies, such as "Gone with the Wind" or "The Adventures of Robin Hood." They would feature a mix of physical slapstick comedy and witty dialogue, and were always a popular part of the show.

One of the unique things about The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show was the way it utilized music. The show featured a catchy theme song, which was used at the beginning of each episode. The music was also used to great effect during the chase sequences, with the characters often dancing along to the music as they chased each other.

Overall, The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show was a fun, lighthearted cartoon that was perfect for kids and adults alike. It was a great way to revisit some classic cartoon characters, while also introducing new characters and storylines. The show was well-loved during its brief run and remains a favorite amongst fans of classic animation to this day.
