Ep 14. A Rock and a Hard Place

A Rock and a Hard Place is the fourteenth episode of the second season of Third Watch. The episode opens up with Faith going through an emotional breakdown as a result of her husband's death; she struggles to come to terms with the fact that she is now a widow and a single mother. Bosco tries to break the rocks with a sledgehammer, but it only proves to be futile. The situation becomes more complicated when an angry crowd of people gathers around, trying to agitate the man. Bosco and Yokas have to use all their courage and expertise to keep the crowd under control while they continue their rescue mission.

Meanwhile, Sully and Ty are on patrol when they come across a man in a suit who was hit by a car. As they investigate further, they realize that the man was actually pushed into the road by his wife who wanted him dead. Sully and Ty try to apprehend the woman, but she manages to evade them and escape. As they continue to search for her, Sully gets a call about a domestic disturbance. When they arrive, they find a woman who has been badly beaten by her partner. Sully tries to arrest the abusive partner, but he is uncooperative and combative, making the situation more complicated.

Back at the station, Davis, Carlos, and Doc have their hands full as they try to manage a busy shift. However, when the man stuck between the buildings is finally rescued, they find out that he is the husband of a woman who was arrested earlier in the day. She arrives at the station and demands to know what happened to her husband. Davis, Carlos, and Doc are all in a tough spot as they try to explain to her that her husband was arrested for burglary.

Throughout the episode, the characters in Third Watch continue to face complex and difficult situations. The episode ends with Faith finally coming to terms with her husband's death and resolving to move forward with her life.
